why might an entrepreneur decide not to take out a franchise agreement but to establish own business?

Franchises limit you to what you can do with a business as you essentially have to answer to one above, as opposed to being your own boss independently.
A franchise requires a formal contact, which is legally binding, this is off putting for many entrepreneurs.

well if he or mabie his family has a long reputable standing in the comunity were a business would have an established retailability.
Ha Lol but the answer your looking for is probably that a corporation is safer then a franchise becouse only the business could be liable for lawsuits wear as a franchise like a propriatership can leave you holding the bill as well as your busuness.
