Entrepreneur?

Well for the past 4 years I’ve always wanted to do something in the medical field, but today I decided it wasn’t for me. I want to open a business instead. Since I just became interested in this today, I have NO clue what steps to take. I’m beginning Community College this fall, what classes would be essential for starting my own business?
I really want to open a daycare center. Maybe a hotel. Possibly a daycare center and a gym. I am not sure yet. I know it wont be easy or cheap.

For all those business owners out there, just tell me everything I need to know please.

Thank you(:
These are some Q’s I’d like to have answered.

-If the business goes well, how much would I make a year aprox.?

-How long would it take to get started and running smoothly?

– How much $$ would I need to cough up to get this started?

– Next year when I graduate high school, what comes next?

that’s not all, just tell me everything haha

thanks again

Im in a telecommunications business called 5linx. We market home phone service, cell phones from all the major companies, internet, home security systems, and satellite tv. Its great because these are things that everyone needs and use. Take a look at my website. If you like what you see and want more info take a look at this short presentation that gives an overview of 5linx.. Its an internet based business that can expand further than just your typical local store. if you like what you see contact me. If not I hope you are successful in whatever you do =]

It sounds a little early to answer your specific questions about income. But for any of the above listed business ideas you would need to havea good grounding in business. Specifically marketing and money management. The daycare centre sounds great – it is really hard to find good affordable day care and its in demand.

    Good luck

I have been a entrepreneur since the age of 17. I owned one of the largest limousine companies in Orange County, California and a photography studio for over twenty years photographing over 300 weddings a year with nine full time photographers.

If I can get you to see what it took me over 30 years to see you will be in a position that I wish I could have been in at your stage in your life.

Go to: and watch the presentation, then click on the Success Magazine clip and watch it also. If you have any questions feel free to email me anytime.

    Goodluck at whatever you decide!!!

    Sincerely,
    Val

I opened a small computer repair and service center and successfully ran it for 15 years… so I know a bit about getting something started.

Of course I went in with no college education, but would recommend classes on marketing for one… business development. Talk to a counselor and tell them what your goals are, they will be able to guide you best on what is available through your campus.

Also you will need to check with your state to see what the guidelines for each of your interests. There are probably specific certifications for your area. Usually you can go to a county clerks office to find out more.

Also there are agencies: the Small Business Admin, Score.

A hotel may be a BIT more expensive to start, I’d work in one first, that will give you a good taste of what the hotel business is about.

Profit? I don’t think anyone will be able to give you an answer on that….

    ~best wishes to you
