I don’t know much about business terms, but this is what I’ve gathered from personal experiences. An entrepreneur is someone who owns and runs their own business, while a manager is someone who is hired by a business owner to run the business while the owner isn’t there.

an entrepreneur explores their own business avenues (think Richard Branson)

a manager manages a team, department, or business function within a company (think David Brent in The Office)

Of course, an entrepreneur *can* be a manager as well.

    Bill Gates or Steve Jobs

There is enough out there to Google the rest to fill in your question.

An entrepreneur is the mind set. A person can have the mind set of an entrepreneur and still be working as a manager. If you have that mind set, you will be looking for ways or a really good way to make the money that entrepreneurs desire to make. This is something I love to help people with. Changing their mental thinking into this entrepreneur that they are searching their inner-selves for. If you would like to have more conversation on this topic feel free to email me.

P.S. Managers make great entrepreneurs, because they have learned many different leadership skills and abilities to work with others.
