Good for you that you are looking ahead and tailoring your education to promote your interests so you can have a successful future.

1- To be any kind of successful business person, which is what an entrepreneur is, you need BUSINESS COURSES.
You need to know general business practices (how any business enterprise needs to be run), bookkeeping and accounting, fiscal management (buying and selling, pricing), how to sell, employee management, advertising and promotion…
2- Successful managers read motivational business books, biographies of self-made people, business magazines, plus all these as they relate to the particular field of your choice.
3- When you have assignments with your choice of subjects, whenever possible use topics that apply to your future business endeavors.
4- Be aware wherever you happen to find yourself of what is happening around you that might be applicable to your future business enterprise, both positively and negatively. Keep organized files of ideas, observations, notations. etc. both what you like and what you don’t- get into habit of taking photos.
5- visit establishments in the line of work you wish to pursue, introduce yourself to all staff, managers, and owners if possible. Tell them about your future intentions, ask for any advice, befriend by being very nice, complimentary,. Keep on file name and info of people you meet. follow up with brief notes, send items of interest to them, build network of contacts.
6- In higher education stick to business and management courses specializing in your field of interest…
7- The sum total of advice here is to focus, organize your knowlege. keep adding to it, keep making and maintaining contacts with people in your field, make friends by being a friend, never pass up opportunities to learn and to participate, and never, never take your eyes off the prize.
8- Last and essential- Pay no attention whatever to detractors and nay-sayers. if you want it you can do it.
Good luck and send me an invitation to your opening.
