Well, I believe that college is a must for me even if many Businessman, Entrepreneur, CEO, Leader were able to be very successful without an education. I have a very strong drive and want to make it to the top but I was wondering what type of undergraduate degree would be best for me? I had a few ideas of what to study (Economics, Business Administration, Communications or similar degrees) but need help deciding, if anyone knows of another degree that would suit my goals better or which one I listed fits my goals. I also plan to go onto Graduate after experience (likely an MBA). I’m 18 and starting my 2nd year in college after this summer. Also, I was wondering if I should get a Masters in something (like economics, finance, etc., right after my undergraduate, but before my first job and MBA).
What should I study to get a high paying job relating to business and management that will also enable me to make informed investment decisions with my money (e.g. stocks, hedge funds, real estate, etc.,)?
So my questions in case the above is a little unclear:
1)What should I major in for Undergraduate? (I want to get a degree that enables me to get a high paying job while also knowing how to invest whatever I make into the economy like stocks, bonds, hedge funds, real estate)
2)Then should I go on for a Masters before first job (like economics, finance, and masters that doesn’t require experience *so exclude MBA for now*)
3)Any other advice for an aspiring millionaire.

Business Administration covers more than Economics & Communication, although it does include these. I think Business Administration is your best choice.
I would say that a Business degree (Business Management, Business Administation, etc) would be your best bet, possibly with a Communications minor because it would help you be competitive against all the others with Business degrees. You could always double major too if there’s time in your schedule. Since you’re interested in investments and such, a minor in Economics might also be helpful, but you should get exposure to that with your Business major if you decide to do that.
For your second question, I think graduate school would definitely be a great idea for the future. However, you may want to get a job first in order to get experience before choosing a master’s program. It may give you a little advantage against the other students applying to the program. Also, some corporations or businesses may pay for you to get you MBA so you may want to look into something like that. Graduate school can be expensive!
Good luck with all you endeavors!
I would favor the educational path that would give the broadest overview of society and its current needs. I would mix that formal education with exposure to environments that would assist in developing a very strong “street sense”. Finally, I would evaluate my own interests and concentrate on those that would provide a good wage and would be “fun” to work with. After that, I would put my head down, work hard and have fun doing something that would meet my personal objectives.
Education, by itself, is like a set of blinders on a horse. It is beneficial only when one understands himself sufficiently enough to set and obtain goals which are not only enjoyable, but also beneficial to society. Good luck at whatever your passion may be!
